Unfolding With Elegance

Recently I was on a road trip with my dog, a friend and her two dogs. We were on the road for 3 straight days, driving from Phoenix to Minnesota, in the middle of the heat wave in the Midwest. It was an unusual trip, to say the least. This is a bit of a long story but I want to share the details to make my point so please indulge me.

It is more important now than ever to remain in a peaceful state because, believe it or not, that is our natural state of being! In my own words, “seriously, with all that’s going on in my life and outside of my life, how do you expect me to remain peaceful?” There is so much going on in the world, the nation, our communities and in our own individual lives. Revolutions, natural disasters, bad economies, discord, all at extreme proportions.  It’s challenging to stay centered and peaceful even when things are going smoothly but to do so now may seem impossible.

The holidays are here again. Doesn’t it seem like we just ended last year’s holiday season? This time of year brings mixed emotions. For some it’s joyous, fun, and love filled. For others it’s painful, lonely and difficult. It’s been a challenging year for many so for them, the holidays may be a welcome reprieve or an unwelcome obligation.
