Spiritual strengths glossary
Definitions for the terms used across Soul Specialties, Tangible Intuition, and Clear Insight.
Your personal method to ground, clear, and connect on a daily basis and as needed throughout the day. Not a rigid routine, but a reliable set of tools you return to.
The subtle energy field that surrounds the body. Visible to some intuitives as light or color. Carries information about a person's emotional and spiritual state. Often used interchangeably with energy field.
Programmed music that creates an auditory illusion in the brain when you listen to two tones with slightly different frequencies at the same time. Used as a tool for meditation, focus, and frequency alignment.
Physical sensations that carry intuitive information. Warmth, tightness, tingling, pressure, expansion, contraction. Your body communicates through these signals before your conscious mind catches up. Learning to read them is central to developing intuition.
Seven energy centers that run through the body, each correlating with a specific area and function. First (red, base of spine): safety and grounding. Second (orange, sacral): self-worth and creativity. Third (yellow, solar plexus): emotions and power. Fourth (green, chest): love. Fifth (blue, throat): communication and trust. Sixth (indigo, third eye): intuition. Seventh (violet, crown): connection to Source.
Being in the zone, in the flow. A state of connection to your higher mind, higher self, or spirit where ideas come through you, creativity flows, and you feel aligned with your purpose.
Advanced hearing. The ability to perceive sounds, words, or music beyond the normal range of hearing, often experienced as an inner voice, a phrase that arrives unbidden, or sounds others cannot hear.
Having advanced knowing. The experience of suddenly knowing something to be true without any logical explanation for how you know it. Information arrives fully formed.
Having advanced senses, feeling, and kinesthetic awareness. The ability to receive intuitive information through physical sensation, emotion, or a felt sense in the body.
Advanced or accelerated sight. The ability to perceive information visually beyond the normal range of perception, often through mental images, visions, or visual impressions.
The process of releasing heavy or absorbed energies from your energy field. Essential for empaths and healers who take on the energy of others.
The act of connecting to your Higher Self, Spirit, or Source. The intentional alignment with something larger than your thinking mind.
The ability and desire to bring people together for community, support, networking, solutions, and to advance shared goals. You see links between people, ideas, and opportunities that others miss.
The part of your mind that manages your identity and survival instincts. As Julie teaches it, ego has two main roles: protecting you from perceived threats and maintaining your sense of self. Ego is not the enemy but it can override intuition when left unchecked.
A person who experiences the Empathy Soul Specialty at a heightened level. Someone who absorbs the emotions, energy, and sometimes physical sensations of others, often without realizing it. Distinct from having empathy as a general trait. Requires boundaries and clearing practices to sustain.
The ability to feel others' emotions, energy, and physical ailments. The capacity to put yourself in another's shoes and sense what they are experiencing, sometimes before they can articulate it themselves.
The energetic space that surrounds and permeates your physical body. Sometimes called the aura. It carries information about your emotional, physical, and spiritual state and can be sensed by empaths and healers.
The practice of centering, calming, and getting into your body. A connection to the earth and to the present moment. The foundation of any spiritual practice.
The natural friction point that emerges when a gift is strong but not yet fully understood. Not a flaw but a place where your gift is asking you to develop more skill, awareness, or boundaries.
One who possesses healing energy and qualities. The ability to assist people in their healing through the healing arts, sound healing, reiki, laying of hands, art, music, or through the healing energy in one's energy field.
The wisest, most expanded part of you. Connected to Source and free from the limitations of ego and fear. The voice that speaks through intuition when the mind is quiet enough to listen.
The highest frequency that exists. The frequency of Source. Not metaphorical but energetic. The more light you hold, the higher your frequency and the more positively you influence the energy around you.
Simply being the light. Shining authentically. The quality of naturally elevating the energy of any space you enter, consciously lifting your frequency and vibration just by being fully yourself.
The process of bringing something into reality through intention, belief, and aligned action. Julie approaches this practically: manifestation is not magical thinking but the result of clarity, trust, and consistent effort directed by intuition rather than fear.
The ability to communicate with people on the other side, those who have passed on. Sensing spirits and presences in a space. This specialty connects you to guidance and wisdom beyond the physical world.
The pattern that emerges when a Soul Specialty goes unmanaged and begins working against you. Every gift has a shadow side. Recognizing your shadow is the first step to working with it instead of being controlled by it.
A set of specific frequencies used as meditation and chakra alignment tools in sound healing. Key frequencies: 174 Hz (reduce pain), 285 Hz (rejuvenation), 396 Hz (release guilt and fear), 417 Hz (facilitate change), 528 Hz (transformation), 639 Hz (connection and relationships), 741 Hz (expression and solutions), 852 Hz (spiritual order), 963 Hz (awaken crown and spirit).
Your unique, intangible, natural abilities that function in service to self and others. Everyone possesses all eight Soul Specialties in varying degrees, with one or two leading the way you process, connect, and create.
God, Creator, Universe, Central Sun, Higher Power. The origin of all energy and consciousness. Used interchangeably to honor all belief systems and frameworks.
Using spiritual concepts, practices, or language to avoid facing real emotions, unresolved issues, or necessary personal work. Examples include dismissing pain with "everything happens for a reason" or using meditation to escape rather than process feelings. Something Julie explicitly warns against.
Julie Farha's method for discerning the difference between emotion, intellect, and intuition. A practical system for reading your body's intuition signals and learning to trust what your body already knows. Also the title of Julie's book.
The ability to educate, enlighten, inform, and illuminate information. To impart knowledge in a relatable, accessible way that helps others understand and apply it.
Your unique combination of top three Soul Specialties, listed in order of strength. For example, Channel-Teacher-Intuition. No two people express their type signature in exactly the same way.
